Near East Tourism and Travel Enterprises (YDTSI), which operates under the Near East University (NEU), recently participated in the “Travel Extra Istanbul International Incentive Tourism Fair Exhibition” at the Lütfi Kırdar Congress and Culture Center in Istanbul.
According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, the opportunities of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) in the fields of fairs, congresses and incentives and the projects of YDTSI for 2005 were explained by Ahmet Savaşan, Director of YDTSI. Hotels with congress halls and thermal units, travel agencies and sub-sectors supporting congress tourism took part in the fair.
Ahmet Savaşan, who made various contacts during his stay in Istanbul, introduced the facilities of the TRNC in these fields to the organizations organizing national and international fairs, meetings, seminars and congresses, and explained that there are many lecture halls and meeting halls in the TRNC, especially the Atatürk Culture and Congress Center of the Near East University, as well as meeting halls with large capacities in hotels. In the meetings held with the officials of the companies in question, it was agreed that the TRNC could be added as a different option to the options that the companies will offer to their local and foreign customers from now on. Savaşan also met with the organizations participating in the fair and operating in the field of foreign language education and explained the high quality education opportunities in the TRNC, a country of universities, and asked the officials of these organizations to include the TRNC in the promotional catalogues they will prepare for 2005.
